One Piece Egghead Arc Part II Set to Resume in April 2025
Exciting news for One Piece fans! Toei Animation has announced a temporary pause for the ongoing Egghead Arc after today’s airing of Episode 1122. But fans won’t be left empty-handed. During this break, viewers can relive the Fish-Man Island Arc in an all-new format: One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga. This newly-edited version revisits the beloved storyline in an abridged, 21-episode saga, complete with updated visuals and some additional surprises.
Starting on October 27, 2024, fans can tune in weekly to Crunchyroll, which has confirmed plans to stream these episodes as they air in Japan.
What to Expect from One Piece Log: Fish-Man Island Saga
The updated Fish-Man Island Arc retells the story with a condensed 21-episode format and improved, contemporary animation. Viewers can expect a fresh visual look and even a new opening theme, “We Go!” by Hiroshi Kitadani, featuring a special collaboration. There will also be an exciting new touch to the ending theme song, “Sailing” by BE.
In this saga, the Straw Hat Pirates reunite at the Sabaody Archipelago after a two-year separation. Now stronger than ever, they set sail for Fish-Man Island, kicking off a journey to the New World aboard the Thousand Sunny. This arc is a pivotal chapter in the Straw Hats’ story, where they confront new challenges and explore the underwater world with updated animation sequences designed for a new generation of fans.
25th Anniversary Special Episode on October 20
In celebration of One Piece’s 25th anniversary, Toei Animation is also releasing a special episode on October 20, 2024. This unique 30-minute episode will honor the legacy of One Piece, showcasing a heartfelt reunion of the Straw Hats from the perspective of non-pirate characters at the Sabaody Archipelago, just after the Summit War. A young girl who looks up to Nami will lead the story, eager to embark on her own adventure.
